I am currently a North Wales Senedd Member. Previously I was leader of Conwy County Borough Council, and before that he was the Cabinet Member for Finance.
I previously worked in banking in credit risk management.
I am a born and bred North Walian who believes passionately that our part of the world is a fantastic place to work, live and enjoy but could be a lot better if we had a Welsh Conservative Government in the Senedd. I have been the Leader of Conwy County Borough Council since June 2019, with prior roles including the Cabinet Member for Finance. Prior to becoming the Leader of Conwy County Borough Council I worked for HSBC and M&S Bank for 10 years, finishing my time at the bank in Credit Risk management.
One of my priorities for the region is to support the improvement of Our Health Board, the largest in the Country, which has only just come out of special measures. I will work with the Board and members of the Senedd to ensure its voice is heard loud and clear in Cardiff and that it is given the attention our residents deserve.
Another priority is our regional economy which is going to take the brunt of a very difficult time following the pandemic. I am concerned with the impact this will have on many, especially our young people. I will work with businesses to bring investment and training so that sustainable businesses can flourish and our young people can themselves be the entrepreneurs of the future so we can see many businesses prosper.
