North Wales Area Conservatives (more specifically the North Wales Area Management Executive) is here to represent Conservatives in all of North Wales and acts as the voice of the voluntary party locally. We work with Conservative Associations throughout North Wales covering all the 6 parliamentary constituencies of Bangor Aberconwy, Ynys Môn, Clwyd North, Clwyd East, Alyn & Deeside and Wrexham, to enhance the efforts of local associations, our elected members and help support our Welsh Conservative candidates in elections.
For Conservative Party organisational purposes, the country is broken up into Regions, with each Region containing a number of Areas. Both Regions and Areas also have a similar officer structure to constituencies – namely Regional and Area Chairman, and Deputy Chairman for Membership & Financial and Political matters.
Under the Constitution of the Conservative Party, The Area Management Executive function is to co-ordinate Associations and take initiatives in respect of:
sharing of resources between Associations;
the finance and membership of Associations;
the motivation and monitoring of the performance of Associations;
the management and training of Officers of Associations;
campaigning and Conservative representation in National, and Local Government elections;
matters relating to Local Government;
assisting elected representatives and the professional staff with the co-ordination of local media
relations;
resolving disputes within Associations and Branches thereof, including the investigation of
breaches of Rules of Associations;
the provision of assistance to, and the undertaking of activities within a Supported Association;
preparing and submitting to the Board an annual report on the activities of each Association within
the Area.
