Bernard is the North Wales Conservative Area Deputy Chairman Political and was elected recently as the Chairman of Welsh Conservative Party. Born in London Bernard served 12 years on Lambeth Council including as Leader and Deputy Leader and chaired the Planning and other committees. He also fought two parliamentary seats Vauxhall in 1992 and Telford in 1997.
After 32 working on the London Underground and spending the last 10 years as an elected Trade Union Health & Safety rep for one of the biggest rail trade unions Bernard moved to Wales and has lived in Gwynedd for several years. Bernard is currently a Member of the Llanaelhaearn Community Council.
Away from politics Bernard's interests include Horse Racing and Gardening and he is a passionate Chelsea football fan.
