• That is why we have announced a new £500 million Household Support Fund to assist those who are at risk of struggling to keep up with their bills this winter – cash grants will be available from October for daily needs such as food, clothing and utilities, and those who require support should contact their local councils.
• This fund bolsters the support already available from the Warm Home Discount and Cold Weather Payment, and will ensure that families across the country will not have to worry about meeting their essential costs this winter.
